Strictly
speaking, you could maintain and maybe lose weight this
holiday season by keeping to a diet of wine only. Average
calories per a 5 ounce glass of wine are from 105 to 120.
For argument sakes, let’s say that you can maintain your
weight with an intake of 2,500 calories a day. Hey, that’s
real easy math! That means you can have somewhere around 20
to 24 glasses a wine a day. A couple of caveats with this
thought process.
First, you should gobble down some
vitamins with several of those glasses of wine. Second, without
saying more, NO DRIVING A VEHICLE. So you don’t think you could
go for entire day with anything to eat. If you have read enough
articles about food, all of them say that almonds are fattening
but real good for you. So here is another scoop. They have about
7 calories per almond. So if you drink a glass of wine per hour
along with a handful (that’s 7 almonds) you are at an average of
160 calories per serving. Divide a serving by that magical 2,500
calories a day and, walla, you can have just under 16 servings a
day.
If you sleep (and who wouldn’t with this life style) an
average of 8 hours a day, once again you can easily see that
every waking hour you can have a glass of wine and a handful of
